Children & Learning

Almost any brain, regardless of its level of function, can be trained to function better.

ADHD
It has been shown in one Canadian study that more than 85% of ADHD children no longer benefited from stimulant medication after Neurofeedback. With continued advance in training protocols, this percentage may well approach 95%. On the other hand, the focus is always on obtaining better function, not on getting the children off medications. Autism
Right now autism looks like a very complex disease, but at least it is now clear that it is in fact a medical disease and not just a genetically caused mental disorder. But if autism is looked at as a disease, it must also be acknowledged that diseases in general tend to look complex only when they are not yet understood. If one looked at diabetes, for example, without knowing that insulin was involved as the key player, it would also look exceedingly complex indeed. (text from eeginfo.com)

Education
Most of what we have learned about specific learning disabilities was obtained with the generic methods, which are also called protocols. And the benefits of doing so are sufficient to recommend that approach in future. But that is not the end of the story. If learning disabilities remain after the standard interventions, a targeted approach should be tried. This involves characterization of brain activity while the child is under cognitive challenge, to discern in which respects the child’s brain is responding differently. Then the training is directed toward the specific targets thus identified. (text from eeginfo.com)
