Arvada, CO – The Biofeedback Certification International Alliance, formerly the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA), is pleased to announce that Becky Bassham has become Board Certified in Neurofeedback. Ms. Bassham joins an elite group of professionals who have met the educational, clinical, ethical, and exam criteria required in order to become a certified provider of neurofeedback services.
Becky is a health educator, who, after working as a medical imaging specialist seeing sickness and disease studying the brain from the inside out, has committed her life to helping people to become healthier by preventative tactics. She has worked in the field of health and wellness for over 25 years with experience to include employee health, facilitating lifestyle change programs, and promoting community health education and outreach. After discovering the power and healing of neurofeedback within her own family, she spent the last four years studying neuroscience.
Specializing in Brain Fitness, Becky uses qEEG Brain Mapping and 3D sLORETA Imaging to look at what the brain is doing. Then EEG Biofeedback (neurofeedback) training is applied, along with life and wellness coaching which includes work on nutrition, exercise, goal setting, mindfulness, stress management and time management for a holistic, alternative approach to improve cognitive function.
Board Certification demonstrates professionalism and adherence to carefully developed standards as a healthcare provider. BCIA’s procedures follow the Department of Health & Human Services Guidelines. The Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA) is the only institute recognized worldwide that grants certification to biofeedback practitioners. The Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB), the Biofeedback Federation of Europe (BFE), and the International Society for Neurofeedback and Research (ISNR) all endorse BCIA certification. BCIA was established in 1981 to certify individuals who meet education and training standards in biofeedback and to progressively recertify those who advance their knowledge through continuing education.
